VICE PRESIDENT EDUCATIONAL SERVICES - BILINGUAL, ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING (ELL)

We currently have an opening for a Vice President Educational Services -
Bilingual, English Language Learning (ELL). The main responsibility of
this position is managing EdisonLearning's primary focus of student
achievement in schools. The role also ensures excellence in service
delivery of all EdisonLearning products by collaborating and partnering
with district and charter school boards, driving consistently superior
achievement gains and profitability within assigned sites. As required,
this role will manage client relationships as well as the
operation/financial/budgetary/legal management of the schools.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have a Master's Degree
in Curriculum and Instruction or in a specialty area such as Elementary
Education, Secondary Education or Educational Administration &
Supervision and a minimum of 10 years experience in K-12 education.
He/she must be bilingual, have an English Language Learning background
and possess knowledge of California's standards and testing protocols.
Administrative certification, experience identifying good instruction,
diagnosing problems and making effective recommendations in a school
setting are required. Familiarity with assessment methods and data
analysis is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook,
Word, Excel, and Power Point) is a must. Candidates must live in the
region in which he/she will work or must be willing to relocate to that
region. A minimum of 5 years experience as a building administrator
(principal/assistant principal) or comparable educational supervisory
position as well as demonstrated knowledge of budget management,
finance, and operating procedures to support P & L of up to $20 million
is preferred.
